Therefore, in today&#8217;s lesson you\u2019ll learn to understand this question, conjugate the verb &#8222;to drink&#8221; in the future tense and you\u2019ll learn to answer it (in various options).<\/p><p>In this lesson we\u2019ll focus on linguistic issues, without going into the history of supra and the traditions associated with it. I\u2019ll only add that supra is a form of Georgian party, seated at the table. And the word supra in Georgian also means a set table. And it is the infinitive. In the case of the verb to drink, these are two words: <strong>\u10e1\u10db\u10d0<\/strong> and <strong>\u10d3\u10d0\u10da\u10d4\u10d5\u10d0<\/strong>. Only the whole word changes compared to the present and past imperfect tenses. Therefore, we already know that in Georgian we\u2019ll say <strong>\u10db\u10d4 \u10d3\u10d0\u10d5\u10da\u10d4\u10d5<\/strong> meaning \u2018I will drink\u2019. And you can use this phrase in response to your interlocutor&#8217;s question.<\/p><p>So what does the whole question \u2018What will you drink during supra?\u2019 look like, which our friends may ask us at the beginning of such a sit-down party?<\/p><p>You also need the \u2018what\u2019 word which is <strong>\u10e0\u10d0<\/strong>, only in the 3rd case. The \u2018what\u2019 word declined by the 3rd Georgian case produces <strong>\u10e0\u10d0\u10e1<\/strong>. Everything we drink will be in the 3rd case, just as it was in the present tense. So from this combination the <strong>\u10e1\u10e3\u10e4\u10e0\u10d0\u10d6\u10d4<\/strong> word is formed. Perhaps you will find opportunities to use other names for drinks, not only Georgian alcohols. Even you are prepard to say 'nothing&#8217; to a question on what to drink during supra.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is it possible not to drink during supra?<\/h2><p>This is how we will end today&#8217;s lesson in a slightly different way. We often get this question from people who are traveling to Georgia or visiting it for the first time. The simplest answer is \u2018of course\u2019. That&#8217;s why we&#8217;ll add a phrase in today&#8217;s lesson that may help you say in Georgian that you can&#8217;t drink alcohol (for various reasons).<\/p><p>The easiest way to do this is through the negative form meaning \u2018I can&#8217;t (I&#8217;m not able to)\u2019, i.e. <strong>\u10d5\u10d4\u10e0<\/strong>. It&#8217;s a negative like \u2018no\u2019, but it shows that it&#8217;s not that you just don&#8217;t want to, but you can&#8217;t.<\/p><p>So the entire \u2018I can&#8217;t drink\u2019 answer will be <strong>\u10d5\u10d4\u10e0 \u10d3\u10d0\u10d5\u10da\u10d4\u10d5<\/strong> in Georgian. Then, of course, you can add what you can\u2019t drink according to the pattern above.<\/p><p>If you already know more words, you can also add a reason, e.g. for health or religious reasons. Here the word &#8222;<strong>\u10d2\u10d0\u10db\u10dd<\/strong>&#8221; comes to your aid, which can be translated \u2018because of\u2019. We put it before the word denoting the reason according to the pattern<\/p><p><strong>(word in the 4th case) + \u10d2\u10d0\u10db\u10dd<\/strong><\/p><p>So now all you have to do is practice and repeat first the new verb conjugation and then the sentences you can create with it.
